This week, the Sea Around Us Principal Investigator, Daniel Pauly, is offering a public lecture titled “New ways to view complex oceans data.”
The talk is taking place on September 11, 2019, at the Ground Floor Auditorium of the University of Western Australia’s Indian Ocean Marine Research Centre in Crawley.
Pauly’s talk is going to focus on the software and databases he helped develop and that are used around the world to model and track the ocean, namely the Sea Around Us database on global marine fisheries catches, and FishBase and SeaLifeBase, the online encyclopaedias that present relevant information on 30,000 fish species and other marine organisms.
