On the third episode of the FishBase and SeaLifeBase Anniversary Podcast, Deng Palomares talks about how SeaLifeBase came to be.

After retelling how the project was born as a homage to John Munro, who once directed the Resource Development and Management Program at the International Center for Living Aquatic Resources Management (ICLARM) in the Philippines, Dr. Palomares walks listeners through the process of collecting and standardizing information for more than 76,000 marine organisms other than finfish.

This podcast is part of a year-long campaign aimed at celebrating the 30th anniversary of FishBase and the 15th anniversary of SeaLifeBase.
