Tiffany Mak – Student Assistant

IMG_20150625_085812-minTiffany grew up in Metro Vancouver, surrounded by the ocean, forest, and the city. Her love for the ocean began after countless trips to the Vancouver Aquarium, which led her to volunteer there and at the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre.

As she learned more about the oceans, she realized how environmental issues negatively impact marine life. This realization led her to study Global Resource Systems with a focus on conservation and Asian studies at the University of British Columbia.

Tiffany enjoys engaging with people in her volunteer roles and is excited to work with different community members in her role at the Sea Around Us. In her free time, Tiffany enjoys walking in nature, capturing photos, knitting, and hand lettering.
