Miel is a Software Engineer from the Philippines. He has a BS Computer Science degree from the Colegio De Los Baños and lives in Laguna.
After working for a multinational company, in 2017 Miel decided to switch gears and started working at Quantitative Aquatics, Inc., which is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that supports the assembly and dissemination of key data on living aquatic resources.
At Q-quatics, Miel handles the development and maintenance of the main website and its affiliated sites (Sea Around Us, FishBase, and SeaLifeBase).
When he is not working, Miel enjoys swimming, biking and running.
