Daria grew up in mainland China and moved to Canada when she started her Science undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia in 2018. After arriving in Vancouver, Daria was captivated by the natural environment surrounding her, so she decided to major in Geology.
In the winter term of 2021 – which is the final year of her Geology
degree – she joined the Sea Around Us as a member of the catch distribution team. She is looking forward to learning about fish and scientific research skills.
Daria loves travelling and has traveled across Canada and the US. Now she hopes to travel everywhere on the Earth!
