Angella grew up in South Korea and British Columbia, with the Pacific Ocean never being far from where she was. She is pursuing a degree in Biology and Oceanography, going into her third year at the University of British Columbia. Her main interest is zooplankton and other small beings that keep the ocean running.
By joining the Sea Around Us team, Angella hopes to start seeing the world in a different way. She believes the Sea Around Us work is key for understanding the state of marine ecosystems in Canada and around the world. She is excited to help out with the development of the new resources that will contribute to the knowledge base offered by the Sea Around Us.
When she is not at school, Angella is often watching the sunsets at the beach and also loves drawing, reading, and stopping to take photos of all that is around her. She hopes to one day be able to capture the beauty of the oceans in her art, as well as her studies.
